FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE
Watford U19s 2-1 Spurs
A late free-kick handed the home side the points after Pat Holland's lads battled their way back into this game.
Michael Malcolm bravely headed home a second half equaliser but the winner came five minutes from time.
Coach Pat reflected: "Watford were up for it and quite physical. It was quite even in the first 20 minutes, we tried to play but didn't get behind them or caused many problems.
"They then went ahead, a little fortunate as Charlie Lee tried to clear the ball but it hit their striker six yards out and went in.
"That was the score at half-time and we just asked for a bit more from the front two in terms of getting across people and getting behind and they responded well to that.
"We soon equalised - the ball went into the box, Michael Malcolm and their goalkeeper went for a 50-50 and Michael got there ahead of him to head home.
"I thought we might have gone on and won but they got a free-kick with five or six minutes left and the boy curled it in.
"That was disappointing because it didn't give us any time to come back but overall it was a young side and I was pleased with them."
