Coventry City 7-4 Spurs

Coach Jimmy Neighbour described this goal feast as a 'peculiar game' as we came back from 2-0 down to 2-2 before the floodgates opened for the home side.

He takes up the story: "We started off really well for the first 15 minutes and had two or three excellent chances to score. We could have been 2-0 up that early.

"We then made defensive errors and let two goals in before half-time so instead of going in 0-0 or even winning the game, we've gone in 2-0 down.

"Within 10 minutes of the second half we've pulled it back to 2-2. Scott Thyer got on the end of the cross, good finish, chested it down and stuck it past the keeper. Nathan Peprah soon scored at the far post from a corner but then the game opened out.

"Defensively we were poor, their front two caused problems, one scored four of the seven goals.

"Credit again, we came back again and scored another two through Danny Stevens, who is doing okay at the moment.

"It was an open, attacking game of football with poor defensive work from both sides.

"We've got to look to tighten up now because some of the goals we gave away were unacceptable. I've got to work on that with them and make sure they improve."
