FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE
Bristol City U19s 1-2 Spurs
Charlie Lee and Jamie O'Hara hooked up twice in the first half as the U19s hung on for a win at Bristol.
Lee met two O'Hara corners - the first led to a foul in the box and O'Hara netting the penalty for 1-0, the second Lee headed home for 2-0.
But City hit back at the start of the second half and coach Pat Holland was pleased with how the lads stuck to their task as it stayed 2-1.
He reflected: "I thought we started well. Jamie O'Hara's corner was met by Charlie Lee who was blatantly pushed and Jamie slotted the penalty for 1-0.
"We played some good football without getting another goal and then five minutes before half-time a very similar situation, Jamie's corner met by Charlie and an excellent header. It was 2-0 at half-time and we were looking good.
"We then made a poor defensive error to allow them back into it 10 minutes into the second half and that lifted them and knocked us out of our stride.
"We still have some good movement but not as good as the first half and in the end we've had to hang on in there. Overall, I was happy enough.
"The trip home was a disaster, a nasty accident on the M4 and we ended getting home at about 9pm.
"Some of the boys had to be up at 6.30am to get there and it's a long day for them. I've been awarded the VC for having to listen to Ron Henry's stories on the coach for four hours on the way back!"
