The young marksman netted the only goal of the game two minutes before the break at a packed-out ANZ Stadium in Australia, having also registered a decisive brace in Wednesday’s 2-1 win over a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur.
With 31 goals in all competitions to his name in 2014-15 prior to our post-season tour, Harry has certainly lived up to his reputation in front of goal over the last few days – much to the delight of the tens of thousands of fans who came out to watch the team live.
Midfielder Ryan, who played for just over an hour in Sydney, was equally pleased to see his close pal find the net once again in what he thought was a thoroughly enjoyable outing Down Under.
“Over the last few days in Malaysia and now in Australia, everyone has seen first-hand what Harry is capable of,” said Ryan.
“He’s done it on a consistent basis all season and hopefully he can continue that on into the future.
“It was a good spectacle for the fans tonight, a good open game. It was a shame there weren’t more goals but we’re happy to win.
“The whole atmosphere was great, Sydney tried to play the right way, get the ball on the deck and play good football, which resulted in a good match.”
