We currently sit ninth in the table with a game in hand over Middlesbrough and Bolton in sixth and seventh and a key match coming up next month against Charlton, who are a place and two points ahead of us.
After successive weekends in FA Cup action we return to league matters on Saturday with a home derby against Fulham - and another 36,000 sell-out at the Lane.
Head Coach Martin stressed: "We're in a healthy position but it's all about results. If we get a couple of good results now, we can go places."
Martin feels we've 'done very well' in the last few months and results certainly back that up with us winning 10, drawing five and losing five of 20 matches since his first official game in charge against Burnley in November.
"Look at the last 15 matches and we've lost against Chelsea, when we did well but lacked a cutting edge, lost at Bolton with Erik Edman's handball and Fredi sent off and the only disappointment really was against Palace.
"We've had a good spell and we're doing better at home now and that was my aim."
Martin Jol feels positive when he looks at our position in the Barclays Premiership.
