Normally when you play away from home you should aim to keep a clean sheet and we didn't of that against Bolton on Tuesday. Jermain scored for us and there shouldn't have been a problem. Maybe a lack of experience then cost us, refereeing decisions also helped them I think and it was harsh on us.
It wasn't to be. It was a bad result for us and we should have had a draw because we coped with their style of play. We made the substitution and scored and I think we would have been okay with 11 players. I couldn't change things and bring Mido on so that was a disappointment.
Luck has been going against us with decisions. The Manchester United one, then the penalty against Chelsea with Ledley King - maybe you win some and lose some. We need to win some soon. We worked hard, showed a lot of character but it was a disappointing result for us.
We had chances even with ten men and Stephen Kelly had two possibilities. He is a young player with little experience and should have kept a cool head, but I was pleased with him all the same. I think we missed Naybet with his experience, but it is not an excuse - we have good young players.
I was very pleased with Simon Davies because he looked a bit like his old self. There were some positive things but it has not been going our way in the last three or four weeks. If we get a couple of wins confidence will improve.
