I THOUGHT we did very well in the first 25 minutes against Chelsea.
Our fans were right behind us, it was an unbelievable atmosphere in the stadium and I honestly feel we were better than them.
All the tactics that we'd talked about and worked on in training were paying off - they couldn't play the long ball over the top, Makelele couldn't play, we closed the gates on the flanks, we attacked them and everything looked just fine.
But after the sending off it was a totally different story. It was difficult for us. I still think we did well for the rest of the first half and they needed a corner kick to score - they use that a lot and it is one of their qualities.
The second half was frustrating because you know if they score a second goal the game is over so we wanted to defend well, try to hit them on the break and maybe do something up front in the last 15, 20 minutes.
We tried to do that but they then scored the second goal and the game was over.
I still give all the compliments to my players, they fought like heroes for every square yard.
For the record, I thought the sending off was harsh on Mido. Maybe he was a bit too enthusiastic but I told him before the game he would have to battle with John Terry and be tough. He had no intention to hurt Del Horno so it was hard on us but I can accept it because these things happen in the game - you just wish the decisions went in your favour.
