I HAVE to say that Brighton played well on Saturday. They had a big crowd and that was surprising forme at first but then I remembered about the FA Cup and it was a great atmosphere.
Without playing particularly well I thought we were the better team. They had a shot on the bar in the first half, a terrific shot.
We didn't have enough width to give them real problems and it was always difficult for the strikers up against three big central defenders. In that case you have to play down the flanks and we didn't do that, we didn't have enough crosses and it was always too crowded in midfield to play well.
In the second half it was the same story, although we tried to get more width.
They scored, Paul Robinson also made a great and I thought we might have to go for a replay, which we didn't want.
I knew it would take someone with special quality to make the difference, and we have them in Defoe and Keane. Luckily enough, Robbie did it this time. It was an amazing goal although we had to wait a bit too long for it!
We always knew it could be a hard game and it's never a walkover in England so I'm very happy to be in the next round.
