I THINK WE were terrific in the first half an hour against Chelsea on Saturday, we really gave them a game although we missed a bit of cutting edge up front in terms of size and couldn't create a lot of chances.
In the second half I don't think they had a shot on our goal until the last five minutes when they had two chances. We should have scored at least one goal, but that wasn't the case.
Overall, we gave them a good game and should have got more. Chelsea are one of the big teams at the moment with Arsenal and Manchester United and it will be a difficult for other teams to play in the same way we did. We just lacked a bit of power up front.
I felt the penalty was a harsh decision - it wasn't one. Everybody should have a good look at it, he stamped on Ledley's foot and fell over.
Because of the lack of power up front I put Ledley in attack during the second half and it is always difficult for a central defender. I did it before with Calum Davenport against Southampton and it was the only thing I could do to give us a bit of power.
Ledley is a terrific player wherever you play him, but it wasn't to be. I am disappointed because we should have taken something against a good Chelsea side.
