WE COULDN'T MAKE the breakthrough in the second half against Middlesbrough and that has been our problem away from home. When the opposition is leading 1-0 we are chasing shadows and we have a problem.
You see it with our team at home, when we are leading we are fine, but we have some difficulties away from home and some of it is down to inexperience. We are a young side and we had players who did not get on top of their game like they did last week.
Middlesbrough got stronger in the final 15 minutes after we had done well and that is normal when you play with three strikers. You have to work hard, it was an away game and their crowd lifted them. You have to be experienced enough, we said it at half-time, we have a young team and we have to be confident.
You need something special and we couldn't do that. We needed a bit more and we didn't have that. When you go away to Middlesbrough and know you need a point it is never easy.
I want to finish off the season on a good note now - and so do the players. You never know what that might bring, although it is not in our hands now and it was a sad day for us.
