"They are entitled to get the season back on track and everybody expected them to because of the quality they have got," reasoned Chris.
"When a team like that are going through a difficult period it is only a matter of time before they start turning it around. They have turned it around and St James Park is always a very daunting place to go.
"It is a very passionate crowd and we haven't always had the best of fortunes up there, although we have had some decent performances," added Chris, who hopes our own recent form will stand us in good stead this time around.
"We are going into it on the back of two good results and we will be better for that."
