Kasey Keller's rival for the USA national team spot has, like Kasey, enjoyed an outstanding season at Ewood Park and was recently named by his fellow professionals as the goalkeeper in the PFA team of the season.
We had a taste of what the former Liverpool stopper was capable of when he kept us out and helped take Rovers lift last season's Worthington Cup.
He's maintained that form this season and our goalkeeping coach Hans has been impressed again.
"Brad has stood out this season in terms of Premiership goalkeepers, definitely," said Hans at Spurs Lodge. "He's had an outstanding season.
"His strengths? He pulls saves out of the bag when players think the ball is in.
"Somehow he will claw it out of the top corner or bottom corner and his reactions, for a man of his size, are outstanding.
"That's what I like about him. He produces saves when you don't expect it - saves he has no right to make. You think it's a goal but he'll get it out. I think that's his main strength.
"He's also consistent, very consistent week-in, week-out and that's what goalkeepers are judged on.
"It gives you so much confidence throughout the team, especially the defence and it shows because Blackburn are a very hard team to beat this season."
Hans Segers agrees with the PFA's choice of Premiership goalkeeper of the season - Blackburn's Brad Friedel.
