Our capture from Porto was asked why he chose to depart the UEFA Cup holders and domestic double winners to play overseas at the age of 20.
"Firstly because of the club and secondly because I want to play in England," explained Helder, who confirmed that reports of him being a Spurs supporter are accurate.
"Yes it is true, when I was a child I really liked teams that played in white," he smiled before being asked who his favourite player was.
"Glenn Hoddle!," he laughed bearing in mind who he was sitting next to - to which one sage quipped that 'he's obviously not as young as he looks'. Jurgen Klinsmann was quickly identified as a more modern favourite.
He would not be drawn, however, into comparisons with the German legend.
"I can't compare. Klinsmann is Klinsmann and Postiga is Postiga - I will just do my best.
"I believe in my own worth and for this reason I feel that you can't compare me to other players.
"I just want to do my best for the club and team - the best I possibly can."
Helder added that the size of the fee to bring him to the Lane will not weigh heavily on his shoulders and insists that he is well used to coping with pressure.
"The pressure is nothing to me. At home I played for Porto where you have to have success and have to win things - so I am very used to pressure, not a problem for me."
Helder Postiga revealed that the lure of joining Tottenham was too strong to resist.
