Luka Modric named Argentina as his pre-tournament pick for the World Cup - and he's not changing his mind now!
The Croatian playmaker ran the rule over the usual suspects back in May - Spain, Brazil, England, Holland - but admitted he had a good feeling for Diego Maradona's side.
That feeling has proved spot on so far as Argentina have clocked up two wins out of two in their opening matches in Group B.
They could have run up a bigger margin of victory than 1-0 over Nigeria in their first game before breezing past South Korea 4-1 on Thursday with Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain grabbing the first hat-trick of the tournament in South Africa.
"For me, Argentina have played the best in the opening matches," said Luka, who was devastated not to make the tournament with Croatia.
"They played very well against Nigeria, could have won by more than 1-0 and now they've beaten South Korea 4-1, so they've started well.
"Most people are interested in Argentina because of Maradona or Messi and I think they can go all the way.
"I think all the big teams like Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Holland and England will progress and that's best for the World Cup. But I'm sticking with Argentina."
