Harry Redknapp pinpointed Luka Modric's arrival in the second half as they key to Sunday's 3-0 win against Charlton in the FA Cup.
The manager admitted we 'huffed and puffed' in a goalless first half at the Lane without seriously troubling Elliot in the Charlton goal.
Luka replaced Wilson Palacios to partner Sandro in central midfield for the second half and helped the team click into gear.
Within four minutes, outstanding debutant Andros Townsend fired home from 25 yards and we were on our way.
We went close on three more occasions before Jermain Defoe put the third round tie beyond doubt with two goals in four minutes on the hour mark.
"The first half wasn't easy for us," said Harry.
"Charlton worked hard, we huffed and puffed a bit but Luka came on at half-time and gave us a bit of guile in there and we started to open them up in the second half.
"Luka got on the ball and started making people play.
"He started playing in those dangerous little areas and we really caused them problems in the second half.
"What a player he is. I brought him on at half-time, I didn't want to wait 15 minutes into the second half and it's still 0-0 and suddenly you're in trouble.
"He turned the game around second half straight away."
