Luka Modric is determined to take that final step into the group stages of the Champions League.
The Croatian playmaker was one step away from the main stage of Europe's biggest competition on two occasions with former club Dinamo Zagreb.
Unfortunately, Luka agonisingly missed out at the third qualifying round stage - now the play-off - to Arsenal in 2006-07 and then AC Milan in 2007-08.
Now he faces that final step again as we venture into the Champions League for the first time with the first leg of our play-off against Young Boys of Switzerland at the Stade de Suisse tonight.
"I haven't played in the Champions League," he was quick to point out. "I only played in the last qualifying round.
"Even the qualifying round was special and it would be an unbelievable feeling if we get through.
"I'd love to play in the group stages, it would be an incredible feeling and I believe we could do well in there because we have a very good squad."
Luka joined the chorus of respect to our play-off opponents from Bern.
"They beat Fenerbache in the last round and that's an indicator that they are a good team and we need to be aware of them," he added.
"We won't underestimate them, we'll play our best game and try to go through."
