Pat Holland is looking on the brighter side of life despite a couple of recent defeats for his Under-18 team.

The lads suffered a 1-0 loss against Crystal Palace at the weekend having dominated for long periods and carving out a number of chances.

But coach Pat is far from downhearted. "I would say apart from the recent defeat against Leicester it's been a pretty positive spell for us," said Pat.

"Leicester was disappointing but we played well in defeat at Aston Villa with a number of lads out and deserved to get something from Palace.

"We've been pleased with the schoolboys who have come in so that's a plus and good experience for them.

"I've I said all along, we've also been delighted with a number of lads who have gone up to the reserves and have now played at that level for a few weeks.

"Just as important is we're getting bodies back from injury which is a real plus and gives us decent numbers to work with in training. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we'll have Leigh Mills back and one or two others."
