Didier Zokora is determined to put the heartbreak of Carling Cup Final defeat behind him as soon as possible in preparation for Wednesday's game with Middlesbrough.
The midfielder has stressed the importance of the clash against the fellow Premier League strugglers and believes we should be taking nothing but positives into the match.
He believes we proved against Manchester United at Wembley that we are more than capable of putting in the highest level of performance when required.
"We have to put this behind us because we have a big game against Middlesbrough on Wednesday. The League is the most important thing now," said Didier.
"United are one of the best teams in the world. We played well, but we missed the penalties but now we need to dig in for the rest of the season.
"I don't think we surprised people that we managed to hold United for 120 minutes because we have great players. Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Lennon, Luka Modric all had great games in particular."
Didier also had words of sympathy for Jamie O'Hara and David Bentley after their misfortune in Sunday's penalty shoot-out.
"It is difficult, but when people make a mistake the team will always want to help. They are fantastic guys and after the game a lot of the players were trying to console them.
"They have to put this behind them because this is football - mistakes do happen sometimes."
