The finals of the Bill Nicholson Schools' Cup took place at our training ground, Spurs Lodge, last week.
They were the culmination of three months of county heats across Essex and Hertfordshire.
The tournament involved approximately 100 schools in Essex and Hertfordshire, incorporating four different age groups from each participating school ranging from Year 3 up to Year 6 - giving around 2,500 children the opportunity to take part.
The Bill Nicholson Schools' Cup is a tournament funded by the Bill Nicholson Memorial Fund, a fund set-up in the memory of our legendary former manager.
Bill's family supported the tournament via this fund with the Tottenham Hotspur Football Development team to create the Bill Nicholson Schools' Cup.
This generous donation and creation of the schools tournament helps support the Football Development team's commitment to creating opportunities for young footballers and schools within the boroughs of Essex and Hertfordshire.
Indeed, Bill's daughter Jean attended the Essex finals - she's pictured with the teams below.
We would like to thank all the schools involved in the Bill Nicholson School's Cup 2010 for taking part and making it a fantastic tournament.
We would like to congratulate the winners who will proudly take the Bill Nicholson Schools' Cup back to their respective schools for 2010.
We hope everyone enjoyed the finals and we thank Bill's family for their wonderful support.
