Jon Obika secured a key win for Yeovil in League One on Tuesday night.

The striker, 20, scored the only goal of the game against Carlisle at Huish Park to move the Glovers seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Jon struck in the 59th minute, racing onto Dean Bowditch's flick before slotting home.

It's his first goal in the third match of his third loan spell at Yeovil and he clearly has the goal-den touch once he pulls on a Yeovil shirt - his goals in his first loan spell helped save the club from the drop at the end of the 2008-09 season.

Nathan Byrne produced a fine display as Brentford beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 at Hillsborough in League One.

The full-back delivered a corner headed home by Michael Spillane for the first goal and was then upended on the edge of the box after a charge forward in the second half allowing Seb Saunders to curl home the free-kick for the key third goal.

The performance could be timed to perfection with the Bees at Wembley for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final against Carlisle on Sunday.

Dean Parrett also played the full 90 minutes as Charlton fell to a 2-0 loss at Rochdale in League One. The midfielder had an early claim for a penalty waved away as he appeared to be brought down in the penalty area.

Cameron Lancaster came on as a 66th-minute substitute but could do little to help Dagenham & Redbridge stop Brighton's charge towards the League One title. Glenn Murray scored the winner as Gus Poyet's side moved 13 points clear.
