Calum Butcher made his Football League debut and John Bostock set up another winner in a good night for our players on loan on Tuesday.

Academy centre-half Calum, 18, started for Barnet and impressed in the 1-1 draw against second-placed Bournemouth in League Two at Underhill.

David Button also made his debut in goal for Shrewsbury and kept a clean sheet as the Shrews toppled third-placed Rotherham 3-0 in League Two.

Staying in League Two, Adam Smith was substituted late in the game as Torquay beat Cheltenham 3-0 at Plainmoor.

In League One, John Bostock created a second winning goal in the space of three days when he crossed for Charlie McDonald to head home in the 1-0 win against Colchester.

Jonathan Obika was on target again for Yeovil but it was in vain this time as they lost 3-1 against Walsall. Ryan Mason and Steven Caulker also played 90 minutes.

Andros Townsend was heavily involved as always as Leyton Orient beat Gillingham 3-1 at Brisbane Road. The winger was involved in the move for the first goal and carved out a number of other opportunities that weren't taken.

Oscar Jansson was an unused substitute as Exeter lost 1-0 at Bristol Rovers.
