Steven Caulker's Yeovil need just one point to guarantee survival in League One - and the defender almost provided it at Brentford on Saturday.

The centre-back found himself charging down the right wing in the final minute with the scoreline level at 1-1 at Griffin Park.

He crossed for Yeovil's goalscorer Gavin Tomlin in front of goal - only to see Brentford keeper Wolciech Szczesny turn the effort around the post. It was the 18-year-old's 45th appearance of the season.

In League Two, David Button could do little as Shrewsbury's hopes of making the play-offs were dented at Northampton. The Cobblers won 2-0 to leave the Shrews five points adrift of the play-off places with two games remaining.

Kyle Naughton was an unused substitute for Middlesbrough against Coventry and Jon Obika sat on the bench as Millwall beat Leyton Orient. Adel Taarabt and Adam Smith didn't feature for QPR or Torquay respectively.

Alan Hutton was sent off in Sunderland's 1-0 win at Hull while in Scotland, Robbie Keane scored a late penalty as Celtic beat Dundee United 2-0 in the SPL.

In Turkey, Giovani played 65 minutes as Galatasaray drew a key match with Super Lig leaders Bursaspor. They are now five points behind in the title race with four matches remaining.
