Vedran Corluka warmed-up for a Champions League meeting against Barcelona with an assist on his debut for Bayer Leverkusen.

The full-back's cross set-up the opener for Stefan Kiessling as Bayer drew 2-2 against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

'Charlie' is eligible to play for Bayer in the knockout stages of the Champions League and is straight in their squad for Tuesday's last 16, first leg against holders Barcelona at the Bayer Arena.

Back in the Premier League, Steven Pienaar scored the first goal as Everton secured a fine 2-0 win against Chelsea at Goodison Park. He's pictured celebrating above.

Steven Caulker came up against Spurs team-mate Kyle Naughton and it was Kyle who won the the bragging rights as Norwich ran out 3-2 winners at the Liberty Stadium.

Seb Bassong was substituted in the 64th minute of Sunday's Black Country derby. It was 1-1 at the time - his Wolves team went on to lose 5-1.

In the Championship, three Spurs youngsters met as Millwall faced Derby.

Ryan Mason and Harry Kane started for the Lions and Tom Carroll for the Rams as it finished 0-0 at the New Den.

Adam Smith played 90 minutes and Andros Townsend was a late substitute as Leeds suffered a late 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton.

In League One, John Bostock set-up an early chance for Jermaine Johnson as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 at Exeter.

Finally in Scotland, Kudus Oyenuga was an unused substitute as St Johnstone suffered a 5-1 home loss to Dundee United in the SPL.
