Kyle Walker made a spectacular start to his loan spell at Aston Villa.

The full-back scored one of the best goals in the third round of the FA Cup on his debut as Villa toppled his former club Sheffield United on Saturday.

Kyle picked the ball up on halfway and surged to the penalty area, where he shifted past Kyle Bartley onto his left foot and slid into the bottom corner. That set up Villa for a 3-1 win at Bramall Lane.

Kyle Naughton also enjoyed the weekend's third round as Leicester City forced a replay against Premier League high-flyers Manchester City at the Walkers Stadium. Kyle played 90 minutes as the Foxes came from 2-1 down to grab a 2-2 draw.

Staying in the FA Cup, Paul Jose M'poku played his part as a second half substitute as Leyton Orient caused a shock at Norwich City, the Os winning 1-0 at Carrow Road on Saturday. Harry Kane was an unused substitute.

However, third round didn't bring such good fortune to Steven Caulker and Jon Obika. Steven departed early as Bristol City lost 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday and Jon was a late substitute as Peterborough United fell down 6-2 at Fulham. We now go to Craven Cottage in round four.

Away from the FA Cup, two of our players went head-to-head in League One as Adam Smith's Bournemouth played host to David Button's Plymouth.

It was the Cherries day thanks to a 3-0 win although David won the plaudits with a fine display to keep the scoreline down.
