Jamie O'Hara helped Portsmouth to a vital win against Burnley as only two of our loan players tasted success at the weekend.

The midfielder flighted in a fine cross for Aruna Dindane to head home the clinching second goal seven minutes from time in the 2-0 victory at Fratton Park.

The second of our loan players to win was Kyle Walker. The full-back played another 90 minutes as Sheffield United grabbed a late 1-0 success at Plymouth in the Championship.

Staying in the Championship, Adel Taarabt was involved in QPR's goal to make it 2-1 against Middlesbrough but it turned out to be a day to forget as Gordon Strachan's men powered home 5-1 at Loftus Road - ex-Spur Mark Yeates hit Boro's fifth.

Jake Livermore was an unused substitute as Derby drew 2-2 against West Brom at Pride Park.

In League One, John Bostock played 90 minutes and fired a free-kick just wide as Brentford lost 1-0 against Tranmere. He's pictured above in action at Prenton Park.

Andros Townsend played 88 minutes as Leyton Orient lost 3-2 at Swindon while Steven Caulker (90 minutes), Ryan Mason (62 minutes) and Jon Obika (on as a substitute, 73 minutes) were all involved in Yeovil's 2-2 draw against MK Dons.

Troy Archibald-Henville was back in Exeter's starting line-up but they lost 1-0 to a goal in injury time at home to Gus Poyet's Brighton.

In League Two, David Button suffered a similar fate to Troy as Shrewsbury conceded a last-minute own goal to lose 1-0 at Bournemouth. Adam Smith played 61 minutes as Torquay went down 4-2 at Accrington Stanley.
