Only two of our loan players were in action on Saturday - and David Button made the most of it.

The young goalkeeper was in fine form as Shrewsbury beat Chesterfield to move into fourth place in League Two.

Button twice denied Chesterfield striker Ian Morris in the first half and after David Hibbert scored what turned out to be the winner, preserved his side's 1-0 lead with another good save from Mark Little.

Adam Smith played 80 minutes as his Torquay side suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Gus Poyet's Brighton in the FA Cup. Kyle Walker missed Sheffield United's 1-1 draw against QPR in the third round because of a thigh injury. Adel Taarabt didn't feature for Rangers.

Meanwhile, Jake Livermore and Andros Townsend are back at Spurs after returning from loan spells at Derby County and Leyton Orient respectively.
