Paul-Jose M’Poku was awarded his first start in six games as Leyton Orient made it 12 unbeaten in League One on Tuesday.

The Belgian forward scored a spectacular late winner against Oldham at the weekend and was given the chance to impress in the 1-0 win at Hartlepool.

He played 70 minutes before being replaced by fellow Spur Harry Kane, while Tom Carroll was among the substitutes. Jimmy Smith grabbed the only goal of the game.

Also in League One, Nathan Byrne continues to impress during his loan at Brentford and put in a 90 minute shift but could not prevent a 1-0 home defeat against high-flying Huddersfield.

On Monday night, Steven Caulker made his return from injury for Bristol City against Norwich at Carrow Road in the Championship.

It required a strong rearguard action, in which Steven played a key role, to keep the dominant Canaries at bay for large spells before the hosts eventually ran out 3-1 winners.

Elsewhere, striker Jon Obika has been recalled from his loan at League One Swindon Town.
