Jon Obika scored a last gasp winner on his league debut for Peterborough as a managerless Posh defeated Brentford 2-1 at London Road.
The 20-year-old striker joined the League One club on loan for the rest of the season at the end of last week and has made an instant impact.
He came on as a substitute in the 52nd minute with Posh in the lead thanks to Grant McCann’s fifth minute opener.
But after Marc Laird levelled for Brentford with 15 minutes remaining, it was left to Jon to become his new club’s hero with a strike in the third minute of stoppage time.
After the game, it was confirmed that former boss Darren Ferguson has returned to the Posh hotseat after Gary Johnson left the club earlier in the week.
Also in League One, young goalkeeper David Button was in action for Plymouth but could not prevent Peter Reid’s side throwing away a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 defeat at Huddersfield.
