Ryan Mason experienced joy and pain in the Carling Cup first round on Tuesday night.

The joy came as he scored Doncaster's second goal and set-up the third in a 3-0 win against Tranmere at the Keepmoat Stadium.

But the pain arrived in the 76th minute when he was stretchered off with an ankle injury following a tackle.

Oscar Jansson had an eventful debut for Bradford City in the Yorkshire derby at Leeds.

The League Two Bantams pushed Championship side Leeds all the way in front of 17,000 at Elland Road. They led twice before goals from Ross McCormack and Ramon Nunez turned it around for the home side.

Nathan Byrne played 90 minutes as Bournemouth hammered Dagenham & Redbridge 5-0 at the Seward Stadium.

Jon Obika came on as a 68th-minute substitute as Yeovil lost 2-0 to Exeter.
