Adel Taarabt inspired QPR to a second-successive victory under new boss Neil Warnock with a 2-0 win over Plymouth on Tuesday night.

The Moroccan international playmaker hit the side-netting after evading three Argyle defenders before scoring a penalty in the 36th minute after Kari Arnason had pulled down Tamas Priskin.

Adel then supplied the free-kick for Damian Stewart to double Rangers' lead with a close-range header four minutes into the second half. He was eventually replaced after 73 minutes.

In League One, Jon Obika was an unused substitute as Millwall maintained their fine run with a 3-1 win at Walsall.

In the Premier League, Alan Hutton played 90 minutes as Sunderland ended a 14-match run without a win with a 4-0 victory against Bolton while Jamie O'Hara set-up Kanu's late reply for Portsmouth as they lost 2-1 at home to Birmingham City.
