Kyle Naughton put one over Spurs team-mate Jake Livermore the pair met in the Championship on Saturday.

In the end one goal was enough for Kyle's Middlesbrough at the Riverside although struggling Peterborough United should have grabbed a late equaliser.

Both played the full 90 minutes - Kyle at right-back for Boro, Jake in central midfield for Posh.

Adel Taarabt could do little to prevent QPR slipping to another defeat, he entered the fray after 67 minutes as his side lost 1-0 at Coventry.

In League One, Ryan Mason came close to breaking the deadlock with a late 30-yarder that Gillingham goalkeeper Alan Julian spectacularly turned aside in a goalless draw at Huish Park. Ryan played 80 minutes while Steven Caulker racked up another 90 minutes and another clean sheet in the heart of defence.

Jon Obika made his debut for Millwall as a 67th-minute substitute and the Lions beat Exeter 1-0 via Neil Harris' free-kick in the 81st minute.

Andros Townsend's MK Dons had a nightmare in League One - they suffered a 5-0 defeat at Carlisle.

In League Two, David Button made an important save for Shrewsbury from Hereford's Mark Pugh with his side 2-1 up in the second half. The Shrews went on to win 3-1 at the Prostar Stadium.

Adam Smith set-up Torquay's equaliser against Port Vale with a free-kick eventually converted by Elliott Benyan but the Gulls were beaten 2-1 at Plainmoor.

Of our more senior players on loan, Jamie O'Hara stole the headlines after a fine display for Portsmouth capped with the fourth goal in a 4-1 FA Cup win at rivals Southampton.

Robbie Keane was also on target in Celtic's thrilling 4-4 draw at Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League.
