Giovani dos Santos rescued a point for Ipswich Town in a busy Easter weekend of action for our players out on loan.

Back from a recent injury, Gio came off the bench just before the hour mark in Ipswich's Championship game at play-off chasers Bristol City on Monday, forced a fine save from City keeper Stephen Henderson and then converted a last-minute penalty for a 1-1 draw.

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton commented: "Gio made a difference. He has that ability to go by people and at that time of the game it was the right time to bring him on.

"He has great ability and took his opportunity well."

Chris Gunter played 90 minutes as Nottingham Forest - down to 10 men after 16 minutes - picked up a valuable point in the Championship against a Sheffield United side chasing automatic promotion.

Danny Rose scored an unfortunate own goal in Watford's 2-0 loss at Norwich City.

Adel Taarabt played 56 minutes for QPR in their 3-2 Championship win against Sheffield Wednesday.

No less than FIVE Spurs players faced each other in a League One game on Monday.

Jon Obika, Andros Townsend and Danny Hutchins all lined-up for Yeovil Town against team-mates Yuri Berchiche and David Hutton, both currently on loan at Cheltenham.

Yuri and David had the last laugh with a 1-0 win and David helped set up the winner - his shot hit the post and the rebound was tapped home by Frankie Artus.

Dorian Dervite played 90 minutes for Southend and enjoyed another win with ex-Spur Lee Barnard on target again in a 3-2 win at Northampton.

Troy-Archibald Henville is closing in on automatic promotion with Exeter City and he played 90 minutes as they beat rivals Wycombe 1-0 to go into second place.

FRIDAY ACTION...

Dorian Dervite played 90 minutes for Southend as they were toppled 2-0 at home by MK Dons.

Troy Archibald-Henville played 90 minutes as Exeter were hit by a last-minute equaliser at leaders Brentford.

In the Championship, Adel Taarabt played 90 minutes as QPR lost 1-0 at Burnley, Giovani hit the post for Ipswich in a 3-1 home loss against Doncaster, Danny Rose was a 58th-minute substitute for Watford in a 1-1 draw against Barnsley and Chris Gunter played 90 minutes as Nottingham Forest came from 2-1 down to secure a vital 3-2 win against Bristol City.
