Our on-loan defender got the nod from Rangers boss Mark Warburton and helped his side register a 2-1 win at Dumbarton in the Scottish Championship.

The 20-year-old finished the game with a bandage on his head, while fellow loanee Nathan Oduwa was also in action having gone on as a 61st-minute substitute for the visitors.

Elsewhere, DeAndre Yedlin was in the Sunderland matchday squad for the first time, having been ineligible to face us under loan rules last weekend. He was an unused substitute as his side lost 2-0 at Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Midfielder Grant Ward, meanwhile, was an unused substitute for Rotherham United as they won 2-1 at home to Cardiff City in the Championship.

Young defender Connor Ogilvie missed Stevenage’s 3-2 defeat at Barnet in League Two with a minor hamstring injury.
