The defender, who has been sidelined for a number of weeks, returned to the Seasiders’ starting line-up for their trip to Ewood Park in the Championship and came up with an important headed goal three minutes before half-time to cancel out Jordan Rhodes’ opener for the home side.
Grant found the net after getting on the end of a free-kick from ex-Spur Jamie O’Hara - and went close to winning the game for his side later on, shooting wide after another O’Hara set piece came back off the post.
The match ended 1-1, with the 23-year-old completing the full 90 minutes.
Alex Pritchard was also influential for his loan club in the Championship, scoring one and setting up another two goals as Brentford secured a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth.
Alex crossed for Jonathan Douglas to put his side into a ninth-minute lead and then fired in a 35-yard free-kick on the stroke of half-time after the visitors had drawn level. The attacking midfielder subsequently crossed for Chris Long to complete the scoring in the 90th minute.
In League Two, attacking midfielder Nathan Oduwa played 64 minutes for Luton Town as a late goal consigned them to a 3-2 defeat at AFC Wimbledon, while forward Shaq Coulthirst went on as a late substitute for Southend United in their 4-2 defeat at Stevenage. Defender Dominic Ball was an unused substitute for Cambridge United as they were beaten 6-2 at home by Portsmouth.
In the Scottish Premiership, Emmanuel Sonupe was an 82nd-minute substitute for St Mirren in their 3-0 defeat at Aberdeen.
On Sunday, Aaron Lennon completed the full match for Everton as they snatched a late equaliser to draw 2-2 at home to Leicester City.
Meanwhile, Dele Alli is expected to be out of action for up to six weeks after suffering an ankle injury during MK Dons’ win at Colchester United on Tuesday night. The England Under-19 midfielder is currently back at Hotspur Way for treatment where he is joined by fellow loanees Tomislav Gomelt (ankle) and Milos Veljkovic (dislocated shoulder).
