John Bostock stepped straight into a Wembley final with new club Swindon on Sunday.

Loan watch

The midfielder joined Paolo Di Canio's team on loan on Friday and was straight into the squad for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.

John entered the fray off the bench in the 72nd minute but there was no winner's medal as Chesterfield ran out 2-0 winners.

Our players faced each other in two matches in the Premier League.

The two Stevens - Pienaar and Caulker - met as Everton travelled to Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday and midfielder Pienaar played well as the Toffees won 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

Kyle Naughton came on for the start of the second half as Norwich toppled Sebastien Bassong's Wolves at Carrow Road. Seb played the full 90 for Wolves as Canaries won 2-1.

In the Championship, David Button had little to do for his clean sheet as Barnsley beat Peterborough United 1-0 at Oakwell.

Harry Kane was denied a goal in somewhat controversial circumstances as Millwall lost 1-0 at home to Leeds.

Millwall's Andy Keogh was brought down in the box but as he went tumbling, the ball rolled out to Harry, who drilled home from the edge of the box - just as the whistle was blown for the penalty.

Darius Henderson stepped up - and Leeds goalkeeper Andy Lonergan saved.

Andros Townsend came on in the 69th minute as Birmingham were held 1-1 by Cardiff at St Andrews while Tom Carroll was an unused substitute as Derby beat Palace 3-2.

Chances were few and far between for Jon Obika as Yeovil lost 1-0 at home to Hartlepool in League One while in Scotland, Kudus Oyenuga was an unused substitute as St Johnstone beat Hearts 2-1.

In Dublin, Oscar Jansson made a couple of fine saves as Shamrock Rovers beat Shelbourne 4-0 in the Airtricity League.

Finally, in the States, Simon Dawkins was a late substitute as San Jose Earthquakes completed a fine 3-0 away win at Toronto.
