Steven Caulker made it two clean sheets in as many games since his return from injury as Swansea held off Newcastle at the Sports Direct Arena.

The young defender returned from a three-month absence due to a knee injury to help his side beat Fulham 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.

Saturday was a different proposition, but the same defensive result - a clean sheet - as the Swans travelled back to Wales with a goalless draw and another valuable Premier League point.

Kyle Naughton also played 90 minutes for Norwich City as the Canaries were hit by a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Everton.

In League One, chances were few and far between for striker Jon Obika as Yeovil held on for a 0-0 draw against Rochdale.

Meanwhile, Adam Smith did all he could to help get MK Dons back into the game against Preston, but the visitors secured a surprise 1-0 win at Stadium MK.

Full-back Adam created MK's best chance in the second half, Jabo Ibehre just failed to convert his low cross and then tested Preston keeper Thorsten Stuckmann with a low drive.
