Jermain Defoe says you cannot underestimate the importance of tonight's derby against Chelsea.
The striker - fighting to overcome a hamstring problem to play his part - described the third versus fourth clash at the Lane as 'almost like a cup final'.
“I think it’s a massive, massive game," said Jermain ahead of the Premier League encounter.
"All we want to do is just keep winning games, keep getting points, always looking forward to the next game.
"Chelsea are a good side, we know that. They’re challenging for the same things as us so it’s massive but everyone’s looking forward to it.
"The lads are well prepared, everyone’s ready and it's game I believe we can win.
"We always play well against Chelsea at home so I’m sure the fans will be buzzing as well. It will be great."
