Aaron Lennon has revealed he has been given freedom of expression by Harry Redknapp - and it was there for all to see in Sunday's 1-0 win over Blackburn at The Lane.
The flying winger turned in a Man of the Match performance as we got the victory that helped us climbed out of the bottom three.
Aaron himself admits he was pleased with his personal performance, and thanked his manager for the belief he has given him since arriving at the Club.
He set up the only goal of the game for Roman Pavlyuchenko and tormented left-back Martin Olsson until the Swede was sent off for two fouls on the little man just before half-time.
"It was certainly one of my better games," said Aaron. "I've been improving as the season has gone on so hopefully I can get a run of games under my belt now.
"Harry's come in and given me a lot of confidence, telling me to do what I want on the pitch, and it's helped me a lot.
"I went past the full-back quite easily the first time, so that gave me confidence, and once he got booked he was in trouble, and I knew he might well end up getting sent off.
"Even though Blackburn went down to 10 men, it was a still a hard game, and sometimes you have to grind out those tight wins, and hopefully we can continue moving up the table now."
