Michael Dawson is determined to keep pushing on after successive key wins in the Premier League.
Stoke, Hull and Middlesbrough have all been beaten in the last few weeks as we've steadily climbed up to 13th in the table.
A tricky trip to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light follows on Saturday.
It's the only Premier League match of the weekend and another win - which would be our third on the trot in the league - would take us up to 10th, level on points with Fulham.
"We can't take our foot off the gas," stated Michael.
"Middlesbrough was an important game but it was the same with Stoke and then Hull and now we have to go to Sunderland, make sure we do another professional job and come away with something.
"It's a tough place to go but after our performances in recent weeks we're full of confidence
"We're on the same points as Sunderland now and if we could get three points there it would be great."
Michael said after Sunday's Carling Cup Final defeat that we had to move on immediately.
Wednesday night's 4-0 win against Boro suggested we did just that. "Don't get me wrong, I'll still think of Wembley but it's in the past now and we have to think of what's ahead," he added.
"To be fair to Boro they put us under quite a lot of pressure early on, I'm sure they said ‘get at them' after Wembley.
"But we stood strong, took our chances and in the end it was an enjoyable night. I'm sure everyone went home happy."
