Let's do it for the fans - Eric

Eric Dier says the players are determined to finish a memorable Premier League season with a flourish - not least in front of our fans at the Lane on Sunday.

The team is on the brink of second place and a number of records for the Premier League era - and the midfielder now wants to complete the job.

Our lingering hopes of the title might have faded at Chelsea on Monday, but that point still meant a lot in the bigger picture - it guaranteed a top four spot as Manchester United can no longer catch us and meant Manchester City can only draw level with us, and we have a nine-goal advantage.

In terms of second, Arsenal are three points behind us with those two matches remaining - and they face City in a showdown at the Etihad on Sunday.

But it's all about us. "We’re determined to finish second," said Eric, who made it 35 starts out of 36 for the Premier League campaign at Stamford Bridge.

"This is now the most important game for us and we want to finish strongly. The season deserves a good finish and we want that for ourselves, for the club and especially the fans, so that’s our aim."
