The lads were despondent after losing 1-0 at Villa last time out at the Lane on April 11 but have responded with a win at Newcastle and draw at Southampton.
Now City arrive at the Lane for Sunday’s 4pm game and having beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and drawn against United on home soil, it’s a challenge to relish.
“We want to give something back to the fans and we have the chance to do that against City,” said the midfielder who has been in fine form of late. “We owe it to them, they’ve supported us brilliantly all season.
“It’s a tough game but we know what we’re capable of, especially with the fans right behind us and pushing us forward. We all believe.”
