Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Former Spurs favourite Les Ferdinand has received an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

Now 38, the striker spent six years at the Lane in a professional career that has now spanned almost 20 years.

Capped 17 times by England, Les' time at Spurs was hampered by a number of injuries including a serious Achilles problem but he still managed 33 goals in 97 starts in the Premier League.

Fourth in the all-time Premier League goalscoring chart with 149 goals, Les spent last season on Reading's books.

He said: "I'm very honoured but it hasn't really sunk in. I suppose it won't until it all happens and I collect my award.'"
