Leo back in squad

Posted on 8 December 2000  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Oyvind Leonhardsen is back in the squad for Saturday’s Premiership clash at Bradford City.

The Norwegian midfielder has been out since suffering a hamstring injury against Derby County on October 21. He actually scored twice in that game before being stretchered off.

‘Leo’ was back in full training with the first-team squad for the first time this week and with Darren Anderton suspended, may well be in line for a return.

There is also a new face in the squad. Ciaran Toner, 19, has travelled to Yorkshire and joins fellow youngsters Alton Thewell, Ledley King, both 20 and Simon Davies, 21, in a 18-man squad.

A Northern Irish Under-21 international, Toner has impressed in a midfield role for the reserves this season.

Unfortunately both Ben Thatcher (groin) and Sergei Rebrov (thigh) have failed to recover from injury. They join Luke Young (broken foot), Mauricio Taricco (groin), Steffen Iversen (knee) and banned Anderton on the sidelines.
