Aaron Lennon will undergo surgery on his knee and is expected to be out for up to six weeks.

The flying winger travelled out to Prague after feeling an improvement in his cartilage injury but felt pain again after training on Wednesday.

Martin Jol reported: "We were taking a cautious approach with Aaron but after training it was quite clear that he certainly wouldn't be able to play and now that the medics have re-assessed his injury, he will have surgery as soon as possible."
