Silken-voiced Lemar captured the hearts of the nation in the BBC series and reached the final three on Friday night.
Two days later and he was back home in Tottenham and looking forward to Sunday's North London derby clash against Arsenal at the Lane.
After being presented with his own shirt on the pitch, Lemar happily signed autographs in and around the VIP Lounge before kick-off.
"That was my first time on the pitch," said Lemar, who revealed that he lived just 'a couple of streets' from the ground. "Normally I would have been in the stand but today I'm in the VIP Lounge! You can't beat it!
"The fans have been great here. Everyone knows who I am! I've been on the pitch and the club has got me a shirt with 'Lemar' on the back. I'm chuffed with that. It's been great."
He eventually finished third in Friday's final with Irish songstress Sinead Quinn second and Scottish star David Sneddon taking the first prize.
"It's been amazing," he added. "I went into the Fame Academy to do my thing, to learn more about music and you come out and forget that the whole world has been watching you.
"Suddenly everyone knows you, everyone is showing you plenty of love and it's been great especially around here in Tottenham.
"It's great. I couldn't have comprehended that something like this would ever happen to me. I'm just happy to have experienced the whole thing."
So what of the future? How about a 30,000 sell out concert at the Lane? "I've already said I've got to come back and do a video on the pitch," he laughed. "That would be great."
