Les Ferdinand, David Howells and Espen Baardsen all lined-up as Spurs Legends were beaten 3-1 by another ex-Spur Andy Sinton's Fleet Town on Sunday.
Sinton, a League Cup winner during his time at the Lane between 1996-99, is now manager of the Ryman League side and played a half for each team at Fleet's Calthorpe Park.
Striker Ferdinand made his first appearance for the Legends this season but it was goalkeeper Baardsen who thrilled the 500-plus crowd with a string of fine saves.
Howells and Ferdinand went close before the first of Baardsen's saves but the home side took the lead after 34 minutes.
Garry Brooke tried his luck from a free-kick just after the restart before Fleet doubled their lead on 52 minutes. Howells tucked away a penalty to make it 2-1 midway through the half before Baardsen's heroics kept Fleet at bay again.
Fleet eventually restored their two-goal lead but there was still time for one more Spurs effort as Tim O'Shea headed just over from Sinton's cross.
