Spurs Legends are in flying form as they prepare for their next match at Godalming Town FC, Surrey, this Sunday.
The team take on Badshot Lea Veterans (2pm) on the back of 4-0 and 11-2 wins in their last two matches against RAF Northolt and Brimsdown Veterans respectively.
Last Sunday, the Legends won 4-0 against a side representing RAF Northolt at Ware FC in Hertfordshire to raise funds and awareness for SSAFA Forces Help.
Striker Steve Slade put the Lilywhites into a fifth-minute lead, before Clive Wilson (pictured above) made it 2-0 on 18 minutes.
Spurs went further ahead in the second half through an unfortunate own goal following a free kick, before Wilson wrapped up the scoring from the penalty spot after Slade was upended in the area.
Defenders Chris Perry and Stuart Nethercott were also in action.
On the Sunday prior to that (September 11), Darren Anderton was in fine form as the Legends won 11-2 against Brimsdown Veterans at Goldsdown Road, Brimsdown.
There was a rare goal for left-sided wing wizard Tony Galvin, with Clive Wilson making it 2-0 soon after.
After Brimsdown had pulled a goal back, David Howells scored, before Anderton made it 4-1 with a penalty kick after Terry Gibson had been fouled in the box.
Within eight minutes of the start of the second half, the Legends had helped themselves to three more goals. Howells doubled his personal tally, while substitutes Micky Jarrett and Trevor Wilkinson also found the net.
Stuart Nethercott headed home for 8-1, before Brimsdown pulled another goal back.
Two more from Jarrett and another from Anderton completed a resounding win, while former Tottenham and England manager Terry Venables made a special guest appearance at full-time.
Onto this Sunday, September 25 and it will be the luxury of a 'home' game for midfielder David Howells, who lives in nearby Guildford.
Howells, who regularly travels up with his brother, former Spurs youth team goalkeeper Gareth, to the North London and Hertfordshire area to play for the Legends, will this week be able to welcome his old team-mates to his own locality!
Other players provisionally scheduled to turn out are Justin Edinburgh, Mark Falco and Garry Brooke.
The match takes place at Godalming Town FC, Wey Court, Meadrow, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 3JE, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm, although the gates open at 12noon.
Tickets will be available on the day.
