The Spurs Legends XI got back to winning ways with a 13-2 win against Boys Town Jerusalem at a wet Kingsbury Town FC on Sunday afternoon.
Seven different ex-Spurs players were on the scoresheet as the former White Hart Lane favourites completed a resounding victory.
Andy Polston made his first Legends appearance of the year playing at the back, while Mark Falco, Garry Brooke and Tony Galvin were also in action.
The Legends were 2-0 up inside seven minutes thanks to a strike from Micky Southam and an Andy Edmonds header.
Boys Town Jerusalem halved the deficit on 14 minutes with a speculative 25-yard lob, but three minutes later Spurs restored their two-goal cushion when Trevor Wilkinson followed up to score after Clive Wilson’s shot was parried by the keeper.
Brooke saw his effort saved, before Micky Jarrett ran through to made it 4-1 on 27 minutes.
Just after the half-hour mark, Spurs got their fifth when Wilson teed up Brooke from an indirect free-kick inside the penalty area and the latter chipped the ball over the wall and into the top corner of the net.
Boys Town Jerusalem hit back immediately from an attack down the left, but within seconds of the restart, Wilson made it 6-2 following a ball in from the right by Jarrett.
A shot from Edmonds hit the top of the bar before Wilson made it 7-2 just before half-time.
Six minutes after the interval, Jarrett found the net with a long-range effort, before Mark Falco saw his shot saved by the opposing keeper.
From the stopper’s immediate distribution, Boys Town counter-attacked and had the ball in the net, only to see the off-side flag render their efforts in vain.
Falco made it 9-2 with a shot from an acute angle on 56 minutes, before Wilkinson made it a perfect ten shortly after the hour mark.
Brooke hit the bar with a right-footed effort shortly afterwards, before a shot from Jarrett took a wicked deflection off a defender and wrong-footed the keeper as it found the bottom corner of the net.
Brooke powered home a header from Southam’s corner to make it 12-2 on 76 minutes, before Jarrett rounded off the scoring with four minutes remaining.
