The skipper feels the Frenchman has the quality to unlock tight games.
"Definitely, he is one of those players who can win games for you," said the England international. "Whenever we played Fulham we always recognised him as a big danger.
"Steed is small, strong, clever with great ability. He is a threat and we are all glad he decided to join us. He will be a great addition to the squad," continued Ledley, who agreed that Steed could provide that little extra something on the creative front.
"Possibly, we've definitely got some great midfielders at this club, but Steed is a little bit different. He plays a bit more behind the front men and can play on both flanks.
"He can be a link player, the link between midfield and the forwards that we have been looking for."
"Steed is small, strong, clever with great ability."
Ledley King is looking forward to the day Steed Malbranque pulls on a Spurs shirt for the first time - a player he believes possesses undoubted quality.
