Our outstanding young defender was with the rest of the squad in La Manga in June and is now back at Spurs Lodge preparing for a tough schedule of pre-season games. He says that the trip to warmer climes in June worked well and only increased the excitement surrounding the new campaign.
"It's fine," said Ledley of his injury. "I went away in pre-season with the lads to La Manga and it held out fine - I think that's behind me now.
"It was quite tough. It was nice and hot out there and we were getting up at about six in the morning, but we had time to relax and it wasn't all work. We enjoyed it.
"It was strange, a bit different, but I think it worked quite well. It gives you the chance to do some work again and then you get another break afterwards. The lads are looking forward to the new season now."
Leds is looking forward to the hectic pre-season fixture programme that begins for the first team at Stevenage on Sunday, but appreciates the benefit of the fitness work that will be done before then.
"Most footballers will tell you that they enjoy playing rather than the pre-season side of it, but it's part and parcel of the game and everybody wants to be a fit player - and you only get that from putting in the hard work.
"We'll get the pre-season running done and look forward to the matches after that."
Ledley King reports that the Achilles injury he suffered towards the end of the season is behind him and he is relishing the prospect of another fine season.
